I was recently doing a resistivity survey for my company when it flagged up something strange that I couldnt figure out in the software. It wasnt the pipes I was looking for, so out of intrigue I and my workmates decided that in our lunch hour we would dig in the area of the anomaly. What we found was a pit full of broken pottery which we now know comes from the Roman era. The place is now an official archaeological dig which is great, although that is not what our employer is thinking as the job we had is now on hold.
